Jammu, Aug 28: A clash between two rival groups broke out inside the District Court complex Jammu today, triggering chaos before being brought under control by police.
The incident was linked to an old feud between the two sides who had appeared in court for a hearing.
Police said one group led by Rahil Gargorta of Bawe Wali Gali, along with four associates, confronted the other side identified with Shubam’s group, including Kavya Gill of Qasim Nagar and five others.
Following the altercation, police personnel rushed to the spot and took all those involved to the Police Post High Court for further action.
During the intervention, police recovered sharp-edged weapons and seized a Mahindra Bolero (Registration Number JK02B-0465) from the possession of the groups.
Meanwhile, taking cognizance of the matter, Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of law at Police Station Janipur and started further investigation into the matter.
