JAMMU, Sept 26: Chief Justice of J&K High Court Justice Gita Mittal along with Justice Sindhu Sharma today visited Ladies Bar Room in District Court Complex.
They were welcomed by Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu V C Koul and all the Judges of Subordinate Courts. The Chief Justice interacted with the lady lawyers and motivated them to excel in the legal profession.
She narrated before the lady advocates that being the first generation lawyer how she overcame the initial hurdles and barriers especially faced by the lady advocates due to the perception of the conservative society and how due to honesty, sincerity & hard work, she became one of the busiest lawyers at Delhi.
Advocates Radha Sharma, Seema Shekhar and Z S Watali briefed the Chief Justice about the problems and issues being faced by the lady lawyers while working in the courts.
Later, Chief Justice inspected the lawyers canteen and ongoing construction work of Advocate General’s office. She assured all the help in improving the facilities for the welfare of the members of the Bar Association.
Prominent among other who were present in the function included B S Slathia Senior Advocate & President JKHCBAJ, Sachin Gupta, Vice President,. Prem Sadotra, General Secretary, Himanshu Sharma, Joint Secy and Chetan Misri Treasurer.
