Civil Society Sonawari delegation calls on Indu Chib

BANDIPORA, Nov 3: The Civil Society Sonawari delegation today, called on Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Mrs Indu Chib and discussed various issues of the people of area with her.
During the meeting, a preliminary discussion was held on several pressing issues, including the shifting of the drinking water source for Sonawari, Irrigation related issues, capacity enhancement of potable water supply especially for hilly belts such as Ajas, SK Payeen, Bazipora and adjoining areas, the core issue of road connectivity for NTPHC at Ajas, as well as the status and retendering of the already sanctioned bore well for Ajas, among other important matters.
The delegation comprised, Haji Bashir Ahmad (Chairman), Civil Society, Rather Majid its general secretary, Gh. Mohammad Wagay joint secretary), Abdul Rehman Kuchay, Rather Ajaz, and Mohammad Yousuf Beigh, respected Executive Members of the Civil Society.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to formally invite the District Development Commissioner to Sub Divisional Headquarters Sumbal for a comprehensive interaction with the General Body of Civil Society Sonawari, alongside all sectoral officers. The objective of this proposed session is to collectively present urgent developmental concerns and public welfare demands affecting the entire Sonawari constituency, and to seek their timely redressal for the relief of the general public.
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) acknowledged the concerns raised, and agreed in principle to hold a detailed meeting at Sumbal, most likely during the coming week.
The Civil Society Sonawari delegation expressed their gratitude to DDC for her compassionate approach, and positive response.
