KISHTWAR, Dec 18: The Cybercrime Investigation Unit (CIU) of J&K Police headed by PSI Moin Khan here today recovered Rs 6,51,340 defrauded online.
The recovery comes as part of CIU’s ongoing efforts to address various online fraud cases through mobile recharge scams, fraudulent app installations and deceptive Telegram links targeting Aadhaar updates.
Since its inception, the CIU Kishtwar has so far recovered a total of over Rs 58 lakh. J&K Police has urged everyone to remain vigilant while online and avoid clicking on suspicious links, refrain from installing unauthorized applications and never share personal or financial information on unverified platforms.
