JAMMU, Dec 22: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable was killed after his motorcycle was hit by an unidentified bus near Presentation Convent School at Gandhi Nagar area this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Pal Singh (35), son of Tarsem Lal, a resident of RS Pura. Singh was posted at Jammu Airport.
According to police, Singh was riding his two-wheeler to duty after delivering breakfast to an ailing family member at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, when an unidentified bus hit his motorcycle outside the school around 10:30 AM.
He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The bus driver fled the scene and remained unidentified till the filing of this report.
Taking cognizance of the incident, police have registered a case FIR number 277/2025 under sections 281/106 of the BNS registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and started further investigation into the matter.
