CII J&K’s IT panel holds inaugural meeting to drive sectoral growth

JAMMU, Mar 16: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K’s Information Technology (IT) panel convened its inaugural meeting, here today, setting the stage for strategic initiatives to boost the region’s IT sector. The meeting introduced the panel’s convener and co-conveners, followed by an in-depth brainstorming session focused on future growth avenues.
Dr M A Alim, the newly elected Chairman, led the discussions alongside Sanjay Gupta and Rakesh Dogra. Prominent industry leaders, including Dron Gupta, Vinay Jamwal, Siddhant Choudhary, Sunil Gupta, Minna Dubey, Shivang Mahajan, Atul Sharma and Sudanshu Sharma were present, contributing their expertise and insights.
The meeting revolved around key focus areas crucial for the expansion of J&K’s IT ecosystem. Strategies to boost job creation and skill development were extensively discussed, with an emphasis on equipping local talent with industry-relevant skills to meet market demands. Another major agenda was the establishment of dedicated IT parks in J&K to create a conducive environment for tech-based enterprises and startups. Addressing brain drain, the panel highlighted the need to retain and nurture local talent, ensuring their active role in regional economic development.
This inaugural gathering laid the foundation for a collaborative effort to transform J&K into a hub for IT innovation and employment generation. The panel aims to work closely with stakeholders to implement progressive policies and initiatives, fostering a sustainable and thriving technology landscape in the region.
