JAMMU, Aug 4: CII J&K UT Council delegation led by Dr MA. Alim, its Chairman today called on Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Managing Director of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL).
The meeting focused on resolving critical power-supply challenges impacting Jammu’s industrial growth. Key industrial concerns were addressed, including frequent unscheduled power disruptions, operational hurdles with the Suvidha App, ambiguity in banking policies for solar-powered industrial units, delays in load-sanctioning/connection approvals, and voltage-quality inconsistencies.
Also the point about power infrastructure upgrades to handle the increasing demand and ensure reliable electricity supply was discussed.
Suse affirmed JPDCL’s commitment to industrial growth for coordinated issue resolution. Dr Alim welcomed the proactive roadmap, stating, this dialogue marks a significant step toward power resilience in the region. Other members of the delegation were Krishan Gupta, Convenor CII J&K MSME Panel and Khurshid Dar Head, CII J&K.
