CIDC to carry out developmets outside Mah

THANE, Aug 2: The state owned City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) will soon extend its activities out Maharashtra, according to its Chairman Pramod Hindurao.
Participating in a meet-the-press at the Kalyan Press Club yesterday, he made the announcement.
He said it would undertake its activities in Jaipur in Rajastan very soon.
He said that the corporation is also planning big activities including setting up of cities and industrial locations  in other parts of the state including Chikaldara,Kolhapur, Solapur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nashik, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Badlapur and Sahapur, towns. The survey work in these  16 these locations to setup planned cities is already underway he said.
He further said that ince the setting up of the CICDO way back in 1971 it has constructed a total of 1,23,000 dwellings and has now now undertaken construction of additional 7.500 dwellings.
He also said the work on the Rs 1600 crore Metro project, Rs 57 crore Golf Club, Central park are some of the projects which are fast progressing.
The CIDCO also plans to extend the Metro lines upto Taloja and Ulhasnagar, he said.
The work on the Rs 160 crore Exhibition centre was fast progressing, he said and added that along with the various on going projects the CIDCO gave priority to the rehabilitation of the project affected persons. (UNI)
