JAMMU, Jan 3: To discuss about the delay in framing of agendas by the Industries and Commerce Department a delegation of Executive Members of the Confederation of Industries and Commerce (CIC) met with Atal Dulloo, the Chief Secretary here today.
The delegation led by Rakesh Sharma, President CIC, apprised the Chief Secretary about the hardships being faced by the entrepreneurs.
Further he sought the kind intervention of the Chief Secretary in the land related issues pertaining to new industrial estates due to which new entrepreneurs are in jeopardy, since they have given the land premiums to SIDCO and the lands have yet to be given to them.
The CIC president requested that the entrepreneurs have deposited the land premiums, but JK SIDCO is unable to give them possession. Those entrepreneurs may be given alternate lands in developed industrial estates, where the lands are still vacant, so that they can start their units and create employment opportunities.
Sharma also laid emphasis to iron out the small issues like extension of provisional registrations, providing of agendas before the concerned APEX body, Coordination between the Industries and Commerce Department and JK SIDCO.
The Chief Secretary assured the delegation that he will take appropriate action in all the matters taken up by CIC.
Among others who were the part of delegation included Harshvardhan Chand, General Secretary, Raghav Sarin, Secretary, Rajesh Chadha, Jt Secretary and Vinod Kumar, Member of the association.
