JAMMU, June 21: KP leader, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo met B.L Santhosh, BJP All India general secretary (organisation) at New Delhi and raised the issues of displaced Kashmiri Pandits (KPs).
Santhosh listened to all issues and assured that the same would be taken up at the right quarters for redressal. Chrungoo also presented a book titled ‘Dev Vardutt Shaalan Kautasya-The Gotra of Chrungoo family’ authored by him to Santhosh.
The KP leader said that the Governments in J&K and Delhi and the concerned administration at both the levels are not behaving friendly with KPs.
He claimed that the UTs of J&K and Delhi have made strange rules and regulations governing ration cards, addition and deletion of names in the ration cards, bifurcation of families, issuance of various type of certificates, inclusion of the displaced population within the ambit of Government welfare schemes and the release of monthly relief has been stopped for the last one year in Delhi while the displaced KPs are made to wait unnecessarily for renovation of their quarters which are in the worst shape in Jagti township.
“Despite assurances from the political bosses and the administrative heads, nothing tangible comes out,” the KP leader claimed.
