China to strengthen economic ties with Singapore: Li Qiang

SINGAPORE, Oct 26: Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Sunday emphasized that China is eager to strengthen its economic and trade partnership with Singapore and explore new avenues of collaboration in emerging sectors, including the digital economy, green development, and artificial intelligence. He noted that such cooperation would inject fresh momentum into the modernization efforts of both countries.

Li made these remarks during a meeting with Singapore’s Acting President Eddie Teo on the second day of his official visit to the city-state. He highlighted China’s readiness to work closely with Singapore, as well as other members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), to ensure the success of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and to jointly achieve higher levels of development.

The premier’s comments underline China’s commitment to deepening regional economic integration, promoting sustainable growth, and fostering innovation-driven partnerships with ASEAN nations.
