DODA, Mar 6: The Chilly-Manoo road maintained by R&B Department Gandoh is in dilapidated condition.
The road has developed big potholes, locals said and alleged that lack of accountability is the cause for deteriorating condition of Chilly-Manoo road in Sub District Gandoh Bhallesa.
The inhabitants of various villages of chilly are up in arms against Government and local administration for failing to blacktop the road from the last 10 years.
“We are facing immense hardships owing to dilapidated condition of road connecting our areas with headquarters”, the locals said, adding that the Government’s tall claims of providing better connectivity to rural areas have proven a false.
Haji Mohammad Abass Khan, a political leader told that they are suffering due to the indifferent attitude of the R&B Department and Government toward the rural population.
He said that people are being forced to commute on the Chilly-Manoo rough road which causes inconvenience to them.
“We will protest in aggressive manner if the road is not repaired in the shortest possible time”, the residents warned.
