JAMMU, Nov 14: Children’s Day was celebrated at various educational institutions in Jammu, with Pomp and Gaiety.
To mark the celebrations, Unique International Public School celebrated the day with a lively and inspiring program organized under the guidance of School Management.
Randeep Kour, Incharge, welcomed everyone with an enthusiastic speech, highlighting the importance of Children’s Day as a reminder to support and nurture the dreams of every child.
Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation celebrated the day with interactive activities.
The day’s festivities included a variety of interactive competitions, drawing and painting, sack races, spoon and lemon races, fancy dress competition and debate competitions.
Dr. Sonia Verma, Director/CEO of SGWF, spoke to the attendees about the significance of Children’s Day, commemorating the contributions and dreams of children as vital members of society.
Govt. Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College, Kastigarh celebrated National Children’s Day under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of the college.
An extension lecture was delivered by Dr Firdoos Ahmed on fundamental rights and duties in college.
The programme was conducted by Asst Prof Sat Pal and also highlighted the contribution of chacha Nehru ji.
Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar celebrated Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Children’s Day by organizing ‘Bal Mela’ in School Premises in which students and teachers participated enthusiastically.
Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi encouraged and shared the day with children.
An array of stalls with a variety of Spicy and Savoury Mouth watering food items and exciting Games were the main attraction of Bal Mela.
Children’s Day was celebrated at Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The celebration kicked off with a special Assembly put up by teachers that set the tone for the day. The teachers performed on dance numbers and sang songs that regaled the children.
Bal Mela was organized for the student fraternity. Food stalls lined the venue, offering an array of delicious eats. Children played exciting games and showed off their best dance moves on the DJ floor.
Humanity Public School celebrated the day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The teachers made the day special by organizing a fun-filled cultural show which included poems, jokes, news, moral story, songs to entertain their students.
Principal, Gaurav Charak in his address encouraged the students to dream and work hard. He also appreciated the teachers for their wonderful performances. He also wished the students on the special day.
Galaxy Public School celebrated the day with great zeal and enthusiasm in presence of Chairman, Arun Kumar Sharma.
The celebration began with a welcome speech by the teachers followed by Administrator Nagendra Singh Rajawat.
He spoke at length about how proud he felt looking at the children blossom into productive human beings and that they have the potential to take our nation to greater heights.
Children’s Day was celebrated with great joy at Pediatric Ward of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital (RSSDH), Poonch.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan.
Speaking at the event, Dr. P.A. Khan emphasized the importance of a nurturing and supportive environment for children in hospitals, especially on Children’s Day.
“We are committed to making our paediatric ward a place where children can feel comfortable and cared for, even in times of illness,” he said.
An awareness programme on “National Children Day” was organized at Slum area near SIDCO and at Shaheed L/Hav Raghbir Singh Memorial Govt. Girls Middle School Kehli Mandi Samba in collaboration with Social Welfare Department and Child Welfare Committee.
This programme was organized under the Chairmanship of Chairman DLSA Samba, Ravinder Nath Wattal and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA, Samba Sandeep Singh Sen.
Different performances were also given by the students during the function.
Bags and light refreshment was also served to the students of the school and the children’s of Slum area.

National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) celebrated the birth anniversary of Jawahar Lal Nehru as Children’s Day with enthusiasm, gaiety and fervor.
The programme began with lighting of traditional lamp followed by welcome address by Kavita Bali, Centre Head NILM Branch 2 Bantalab Jammu.
Rakeshwar Singh, Project Director, NILM, was the chief guest. In his address, he inspired the students to have moral values.
A cultural programme was presented by students.
The Department of Home Science, JU celebrated the day with Pomp and Gaiety.
Head of the Department, Prof. Sarika Manhas, while addressing the gathering emphasized that early childhood is a formative period where nurturing guidance can set the foundation for future success.
“Today’s celebration is not only a joyful event but also a reminder of our collective responsibility to create supportive environments for children. By nurturing their growth today, we empower them for a brighter future,” she said.
To celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, a ‘Children’s Day Carnival’ was organized at Mother India Sr. Sec. School, R.S. Pura.
The event started with lighting of traditional lamp by the Chairman, Management Committee, Ch. Mohan Singh in presence of the Principal of the School, Sonia Tohra along with all the staff members.
There were different food and games stalls installed in the carnival.
Kotwal National Institute of Teaching (KNIT) celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv and Children’s day with great enthusiasm and fervour in the school premises.
‘Display your talent’ was organised to showcase the hidden skills of the Knitians.
The students unleashed their creativity by singing, cooking, rangoli, dancing, painting and exhibiting Science Models.
Prof. JL Kotwal, Director KNIT and Bimla Blawria, the Principal gave away merit certificates to the winners of extracurricular activities.
Crescent Public School celebrated Children’s Day with a lively event, ‘Bachpan Ki Duniya’, at its Seri Chak Bhalwal Branch. The day featured vibrant performances, games, and treats that left everyone in high spirits.
The event began with a warm welcome by Headmistress Sheetal Merry, followed by inspiring words from Chairman Arshad Choudhary, Managing Director Tasneem Kausar and Principal Dr.Bhavna Kaushal.
