JAMMU, May 7: In a tragic incident, a three-year old child died after a rashly driven car rammed into boundary wall of Government quarters premises in Subash Nagar and he came under debris of the wall.
Identity of the deceased was established as Ansh, son of Brij Dev of Government Quarters, H-block, Subash Nagar.
The mishap took place around 6 pm when a rashly driven Alto car hit the boundary wall resulting into collapse of its portion. The victim, who along with his ten -year sister was playing near the wall, came under debris and sustained critical injuries. He was rushed to Government Medical College hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Mundan ceremony of the deceased child was scheduled to be solemnized on May 13 and his parents had gone for distribution of invitation cards when the mishap took place.
Police have arrested the woman, who was driving the car, and registered a case in this connection.
