Chief Wildlife Warden releases calendar based on birds

JAMMU, Jan 11: Chief Wildlife Warden J&K, Suresh Kumar Gupta released ‘The Himalayan Avian’-a calendar based on birds, for the year 2022.
The calendar was released at Manda Deer Park here and it was based on the theme of ‘The Earth’ and contained 11 photographs/paintings of different birds.
Sarus Crane, the tallest flying bird in the world which also makes habitat in border belt of Kathua is there in this calendar.
Apart from this, Demoiselle Crane-whose picture was captured by Ansar Ahmed in Budgam, Kashmir is also in the calendar besides the paintings by Siya Parihar, Sanjampal Kaur and Mannat Chauhan of Kalij Pheasant-The Bird of J&K UT.
Birds’ scenery paintings made by Sirjan Kaur, Ritika and Isha Chib have also got published in the calendar.
Works at Gharana Wetland by renowned photographer Guldev Raj, who mostly clicks nature, have also found place in the calendar.
On this occasion Regional Wildlife Warden and Chairperson of Women Club Meri Pahchan, Sandhya Gupta were guests of honour.
Social Worker, Pushpinder Charak, Basant Singh, Rajesh Kesari, Darshan Mehra, C.M Sharma, Rishpaul and others were also present on the occasion while Vanshika presented vote of thanks.
Suresh Kumar Gupta, Chief Wildlife Warden J&K congratulated the organisers for making people aware about birds.
