Chib lays foundation of ITI Banihal

BANIHAL, Sept 25: Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services & Sports, R S Chib today laid the foundation stone of new ITI Complex Banihal in presence of MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool.
Principal Secretary, PDD, Technical Education & Youth Services & Sports, Sudhanshu Panday, Director Technical Education and Deputy Commissioner Ramban were also present on this occasion.
The ITI Complex is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2.48 crore and provides for workshop block, hostel and Administrative Block. The building will be completed by March 2013 and it is being funded under PMRP.
In his address, R S Chib stated that the possibility of setting-up another ITI at Ramsoo will be explored as and when the sanction for setting-up of new fifty ITIs in the State is received from Union Government. He also announced that an amount of Rs 50 lakh will be spent during the current financial year for construction of new Stadium at Banihal and also a playing field will be developed at Ukhral.
