JAMMU, Jan 23: A man from Chhattisgarh was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bishnah area here today, officials said. A labourer from Chhattisgarh, Shyam Singh Sidar son of Gori Lal, who was presently living at Ward Number 13, Bishnah, was spotted in an unconscious state near Peer Baba, Ward Number 12, Bishnah around 9:30 AM, they said.

Accordingly, he was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Bishnah, where the team of doctors declared him dead on arrival, officials said. Later, they said, the post-mortem was conducted at the hospital and the body was handed over to its legal heirs for performing the last rites. Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceeding to further probe into the matter.
