‘Chhari Mubarak Yatra’ to Purmandal arrangements finalized

JAMMU, Mar 15: A joint meeting of Purmandal Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dharmarth Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha and others was held here today under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, president Dogra Sadar Sabha and other organisations to finalize the arrangements for 31st Chhari Mubarak Yatra to Purmandal Shrines on March 28, 2025.
The meeting decided proper arrangement for transport for devotees from Purmandal Morh to Purmandal Uttarbehni Shrines.
Proper arrangements for drinking water and electricity en-route and for the three days of congregation at Purmandal were also discussed along with cleanliness at Devika and around the temples at Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
Speakers in the meeting also discussed that Nodal Officer of Samba will co-ordinate with all the concerned departments for proper arrangements during the Yatra and also for the three day programme in which a large number of devotees are expected to participate at Purmandal and Uttarbehni.
A handout stated that special Chhari Pooja will be on March 27, 2025 at 5 pm at Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Jammu by Dharmarth Trust and on March 28 the Chhari Yatra will be taken out from Ranbireshwar Mandir by saints led by Mahatma Rishi Ban at 7 am.
After performing rituals at Raghunath Temple Jammu, the Holy Maces will reach Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar where a grand Pooja will be performed after which the Chharis will be taken in a procession to Purmandal Shrines via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Shri Narsing Dev Mandir and Data Ranpat Dev Mandir Birpur.
Special reception will be organized by Muslims led by Haji Bhashir Ahmed Malik and Khatab Hussain at Kharah Madana and after passing through Mandal and other areas the Yatra will finally reach Purmandal shrines.
The Chharis will be kept in Purmandal temple for Darshan by general public.
The meeting was attended by S.C Rekhi, general secretary Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Administrative Officer Dharamarth Turst, Col Karan Singh, vice president Dogra Sadar Sabha, Romesh Thakur, Kulbhushan Bali, P.C Gupta, Kapil Slathia, Ved Verma, Parshant Sharma, Sumesh Damral, Kulbir Singh, Pankul Vaid, Tarun Gupta and representatives of Bhandara Committee Bari-Brahmana, Purmandal-Uttarbehni Shrines Development Committee, Data Ranpat Dev Committee, Narsing Dev Mandir Birpur and other prominent persons.
