MENDHAR July 29: Unmoved by the plight of people amid soaring temperature, Power Development Department has failed to restore proper power supply to Lower Chhajla and several other hamlets of Mankot Block in Poonch district.
Alleging poor response of the PDD staff for improve supply position, villagers alleged that the concerned department has shown no concern despite apprised on several occasions. “We approached the department on several occasions but they are showing no concern towards our plight,” a villager alleged.
Murtaza Choudhary, Sonu Choudhary and Mohammed Nisar, residents of Chhajla Lower said that the last four months have passed, we have a transformer lying near the Sarpanch’s house, the single phase of the light is coming from the transformer. It is lying unattended since long. No body bothers. He said many times we requested the PDD Lineman and other officials but till date no official has paid attention to this problem.
The people have sought intervention of District Development Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav into the matter.
