UDHAMPUR, Mar 19: After successful completion of trial runs, Chenani-Nashri tunnel will be closed from Tuesday till its formal inauguration in next few days.
According to Col R S Parmar, Consultant IL&FS, the tunnel will close from Tuesday till inauguration and the people are therefore requested to use the main road while commuting between Jammu and Srinagar.
Pertinent to mention that the tunnel was earlier ordered to be closed since March 15 after completion of trial runs but following a request from the State Government, it was kept open for convenience of general public.
