‘Chatur-Ved Shatkam Yagya’ culminates at ‘Balidan Bhawan’

JAMMU, Nov 23: The four day long spiritual event of ‘Chatur-Ved Shatkam Yagya’ culminated here today at Arya Samaj temple ‘Balidan Bhawan’ in Bakshi Nagar.
On this occasion Acharya Yogesh Bhardwaj from UP enlightened the gathering on the teachings of Vedas and stressed on following high morals contained in Vedic texts for a successful and upright life.
He highlighted the vices of present day life and said that saints like Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji paved the path of Vedas for humankind to come out of the shackles of ignorance, falsehood, temptations and other wrongs.
Vivek Arya from Delhi further strengthened the event with his devotional songs touching different aspects of spirituality.
The Yagya was accomplished by Dr. Vidhyadhar Shastri who was assisted by Vikas Shastri by reciting the Vedic hymns over which the Yagmaans offered Aahutis in the flames of the Yagya.
A stall of spiritual Vedic books was also placed at the Arya Samaj Mandir on this occasion.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Narinder Trehan, president Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K; Ravikant, president Arya Samaj Bakshi Nagar; Sanjeev Gupta and Dr. Anita, vice presidents; Pawan Gupta, cashier; Yogesh Gupta, secretary and others.
A Rishi Langar was also organised on the occasion for devotees.
