POONCH, Apr 28: Convener and District president of the Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) Poonch, J S Awal has appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir Government & Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, to revise the school timings for the Winter Zones (WZ) of Jammu Province.
He stated that as the timing has been changed in Summer Zones of Jammu Division, and with the weather now clear and daytime temperatures rising considerably, students are facing severe difficulty sitting in classrooms till 4 PM due to the scorching heat.
In view of the health and comfort of the students, Awal urged the Education Minister, Sakina Itoo to kindly address the matter at the earliest for the welfare of the entire school-going fraternity.
