CHANDIGARH, Mar 7 : Three hundred women in Chandigarh will run here on International Women’s Day on Friday wearing red saree.
The event is being held here for the past seven years on the occasion of the International Women’s Day at the initiative of the Run Club of Chandigarh. The women will run 3 and 5 kilometers, giving messages about the need for women’s fitness.
Event organiser Pavila Bali said two days ago 50 women had also taken part in Zumba – a fitness programme involving cardio and Latin-inspired dance – in saree. (UNI)
