Chairman DDC reviews RDD works, PRI grant utilization in Doda

DODA, Dec 17: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing Rural Development developmental works and the utilization of PRI, DDC and BDC grants in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anil Kumar Thakur; Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Din Mohd Afaqi; Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Manesh Kumar Manhas; Executive Engineer (XEN) REW and all Block Development Officers (BDOs). Detailed discussions were held on the status of works, expenditure status, physical progress and adherence to quality standards.
During the review, the Chairman stressed on the importance of adhering to approved timelines, ensuring transparency and maintaining prescribed quality standards in all development projects.
The Officers were directed to expedite slow-moving works, ensure proper utilization of funds, conduct regular field inspections and address implementation gaps without delay. Special emphasis was laid on projects funded under PRI, DDC and BDC grants to ensure maximum public benefit.
The Chairman further underscored the need for close coordination among RDD, BDOs and executing agencies. He issued a string of directions seeking timely submission of utilization certificates, proper record maintenance, geo-tagging of works and third-party quality checks.
