SRINAGAR, July 16: Chairman of CII Jammu & Kashmir Council, Dr M A Alim, along with Khurshid Dar, Head of CII J&K, called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today.
Dr Alim had a constructive discussion centred on key initiatives to propel the economic growth of J&K. The primary focus was on strategies to position J&K prominently on the global MICE Tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) map. He also briefed the Chief Minister on the upcoming CII events and initiatives planned for J&K, highlighting CII’s commitment to fostering industry development and investment in the region.
Marking a significant step in enhancing stakeholder communication, the Chief Minister unveiled the first edition of the CII J&K Quarterly Newsletter for 2025. This new publication is designed to serve as a vital platform for disseminating valuable insights, critical policy updates, and information on initiatives driving growth and development across J&K. The newsletter aims to connect industry, Government and other stakeholders with relevant knowledge and updates.
During the meeting, Dr Alim presented a memento to the Chief Minister and extended an invitation to him for further engagements with the CII leadership in New Delhi. Omar Abdullah readily accepted the invitation, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue and partnership between the Government of J&K and CII.
