JAMMU, Nov 10: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu has directed all the Cluster Heads, ZEOs and Heads of Institutions to strictly monitor the punctuality and attendance of staff working under their jurisdiction.
According to a circular in this regard, the office of CEO Jammu has noticed with serious concern that most of the teaching staff frequently leave their institutions during working hours on the pretext of being `On duty’.
Issuing direction to Cluster Heads, ZEOs and HoIs, the circular says that they will identity such employees who remain frequently outside the institutions during duty hours, verify the factual position and furnish a detailed report to the office for taking appropriate disciplinary action against the concerned officials.
“Any violation of these instructions shall be viewed seriously and may invite disciplinary action,” reads the circular.
