Central University of Jammu secures impressive IIRF ranking

JAMMU, June 19: The Central University of Jammu has secured the 28th position among Central Universities in the prestigious Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2025, reaffirming its status as a rising star in India’s higher education landscape.
Leading institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, and Banaras Hindu University remain at the top of the rankings.
CU Jammu achieved an impressive overall index score of 934.95, a significant leap from its 39th position last year.
The IIRF rankings-released on June 13, 2025-are among the most respected in India, assessing over 2,500 institutions on parameters including teaching quality, research output, industry collaboration, infrastructure and student success.
Speaking on the milestone, Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain said, “We are happy to be ranked among the top central universities in the country. It is a collective success that motivates us to further elevate our standards and contribute significantly to nation-building through academics and research.” He gave credit for this achievement to students, faculty members and staff of the university.
