KATHUA, Apr 6: The central Government pensioners in Kathua are facing problems to get the monthly pension at Head Post Office here due to lack of poor digital network.
A large number of pensioners including the war widows and  Ex-Servicemen are making rounds of Post Office for last many days to get the monthly pension to meet out their expenditures. They were seen sitting on the ground and some of them having ill health  are  waiting for restoration of network system so that they can get their monthly pension. An Ex-Servicemen, Paras Ram from Hiranagar border said “I have fought 1965 and 1971 war and now facing problem for getting pension,. Earlier there was manual system and we will get pension well in time. Now the digital system is a total failure and we face problems in getting the pension in time and have to wait for days together”.
He said “We are taking round of Post Office daily and we are spending the excess money to reach the Kathua Post Office but no one at the helm of affairs tried to settle the problem”. Another person Harjit Singh said that I have a great need of money as my mother is on bed due to ill health,. The failure of  computer system created problem for us,” he added.
The pensioners have asked the higher authorities to solve the networks problems, so that pensioners may not faces any problem in future.
