JAMMU, Nov 13: The celebrations of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami which started on November 2, 2025 at the ancient Kaal Bhairav temple here culminated today with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
Pandit Rumil Sharma at ancient Kaal Bhairav temple informed that special prayers were held on this occasion for universal peace and prosperity and well being of the humankind.
The entire area adjoining the temple in Chowk Chabutra and Panjtirthi was beautifully decorated with flags while the shrine of Kaal Bhairav was decorated with imported flowers and colourful lights.
Balloons were also released in the air on this occasion while at night fire crackers were busted and a Bhandara remained there through the day were the visiting devotees were served many delicious eatables.
Pandit Rumil Sharma informed that the shrine fulfils the wishes of the visiting devotees.
He also said that the ‘Dand Fanda’ ceremony which cures several ailments will be announced on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
A large number of devotees visited the shrine and paid obeisance to the deity.
There was elaborate arrangement of security to prevent any untoward incident on this occasion.
