JAMMU, Sept 13: Ceiling of a residential house fell here last night in Shakti Nagar area.
Locals of the area informed that one old lady, an old man and their children had a narrow escape in the incident but many household items including fan, TV set, refrigerator etc were damaged.
“Ghar Mein Maharaj Hain Un Ko Kaise Shod Sakte Hain (the house accommodates our deity and we cannot we leave him),” the elder lady who lives in the damaged house said and she seems unwell and the neighbours informed that she was paralysed.
She along with other inmates of the house urged the authorities concerned for help so that their house can be repaired to make it suitable and safe for living.
The neighbours informed that the son of the elderly lady works as a security guard and earns a meagre salary which is insufficient for repairing the damaged house.
