KARGIL, Feb 6 : Marking a major milestone and a historic moment, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd. Jaffer Akhoon today virtually launched the historic Employee Transfer Portal of LAHDC-Kargil. On the occasion, Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Mohd. Hanifa Jan, Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain, Executive Councillor Er. Phunchok Tashi and Administrative Secretary, School Education, Bhanu Prabha joined the event virtually.
On the other hand, Executive Councillor Kacho Mohd Feroz, Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho; Joint Director/Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Abdul Hadi; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Drass, Vishal Atri; District Informatics Officer, Iftikhar Hussain; Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil, Sonam Wangchuk and Accounts Officer to DC Kargil, Zakir Hussain also attended the event.
While addressing the gathering, CEC Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon congratulated the Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, and his entire team for developing this historic transfer portal and for framing a fair transfer policy. He also congratulated and thanked the Executive Councillors and Councillors of LAHDC Kargil for coming forward unanimously and taking this progressive decision to make the transfer system more fair, inclusive and just.
The CEC extended special thanks to Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, Bhanu Prabha, for her constant support, guidance and leadership throughout the process. He also acknowledged the proactive role of Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Mohd Hanifa Jaan, for extending his full support towards the successful implementation of the policy and development of the employees transfer portal.
MP Ladakh Mohd Hanifa Jan, in his address, said that many previous Chairmen/CECs of LAHDC-Kargil had attempted to implement a fair transfer policy but could not execute it on one account or other. He especially thanked CEC Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon and his team of Executive Councillors and Councillors for their courage, commitment and dedication in making this “impossible dream” possible. He also congratulated DC Kargil and his entire team for the extensive research and technical work involved in making the online transfer portal possible.
Executive Councillor (Education) Zakir Hussain expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders and said that the launch of the transfer portal marks a new dawn of development in the education sector with a clear mission to provide quality education.
On the occasion, Executive Councillors Kacho Mohd Feroz and Er. Phunchok Tashi also addressed the gathering and thanked all stakeholders for their collective efforts in achieving this historic milestone of developing the transfer portal. They shared valuable inputs suggesting improvements in the education sector and appreciating the team efforts which went in making the transfer portal a reality.
In her address, Administrative Secretary, School Education, Bhanu Prabha expressed her optimism and satisfaction in achieving this long-pending milestone. She particularly appreciated the efforts of Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, and his team stating that without their dedication this achievement would not have been possible. She thanked CEC Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon and the entire Hill Council team for their positive and reform-oriented approach adding that such a structural change was long overdue and has finally been achieved.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil Rakesh Kumar thanked LAHDC Kargil for its overall support and guidance in accomplishing this challenging task. He lauded the efforts of the entire team involved in drafting the policy and providing technical support for launching the transfer portal. He informed that with the activation of the portal, teachers will be able to submit all necessary details online. To assist those facing difficulties, fifty (50) master trainers have been trained and special help cells have been established to provide necessary support, he added.
While delivering the vote of thanks, Additional Deputy Commissioner Imteeaz Kacho thanked all the dignitaries present for participating in the momentous event and appreciated the role of all Officers and employees involved in the formulation of the teacher transfer policy and creation of the transfer portal. District Informatics Officer, Iftikhar Hussain found special mention for silently working on the portal’s development 24×7 with immense dedication.
