JAMMU, May 7: The Civil Defence/Home Guard/State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) today carried out awareness campaign in different schools and colleges in four districts of Jammu region.
A mock drill scheduled today in different districts by Civil Defence/Home Guards/SDRF was cancelled in view of last night’s strikes by the Indian Armed Forces in Pakistan and PoJK.
Sources said awareness camps were conducted at two places in Jammu district, nine in Udhampur and one each in Reasi and Kishtwar districts.
The awareness camps were held at IIT, IIM, schools and colleges with huge participation from students and faculty.
The Civil Defence officers including Zahid Manhas briefed the students about preparedness in case of any eventuality.
