CCPDA, others name J&K Film Industry as ‘Hillwood’

JAMMU, July 6: Censor Certified Producer-Director Association (CCPDA) organised a meeting here and declared the name of J&K Film Industry as ‘Hillwood’.
DADA president, G.S Babli, CCPDA president, Jayesh Gupta, Producer-Director VR Films, Ramesh Singh, Luthra Brothers, Manjeet Singh from Sikhs for All Foundation, retired Additional Secretary of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Dr. Arvinder Singh, Kamal Sharma of All Artist Welfare Association Jammu and many others supported the name of ‘Hillwood’ for J&K Film Industry.
The meeting was organised by Rajesh Raja, Writer/ Director/Film Distributor.
Those who supported the name for J&K Film Industry were Actor/Director Amit Choudhary of film, Ma Nahi Mildi; Producer Vinod Jaral, Rakesh Chalotra and Parvez of film, Moj Masti; Neelam Phool, Producer/Director of film, Kugi Maar Doari; Jayesh Gupta Producer/Director of film, Bachche Man K Sache; Producer D.K Kesar of film, Aun Aa Shinda; Producer Parshotam Gupta of film, Gangwar; Producer/Director Ashok Sharma of film, Yaar Ki Ibadat; Producer/Director, Balbir Singh of film, Mitti Naseeb Di; Producer Bikram Singh of film, Meri Jind Meri Jaan; Producer/Actor Dr Ayash Arif of Kashmiri film, Harmukh and Writer Khalid Hussain of film, Lakeer.
Technicians and artists who extended support to the name of J&K Film Industry were Subash Jamwal, Shashi Bhushan, Ajay Slathia, Chandan Mandal, Janak Bhardwaj, Amreek Singh, Madan Rangeela, Vishal Magotra, Shubhan, Kuldeep Singh and others.
All the Artists, Directors and Producers have decided to hand over a memorandum in this regard to the Government.
They also decided to nominate 10 brand ambassadors of Hillwood for six months on rotation basis and will soon come out with a calendar and directory of Hillwood.
“Artists and technicians will also be felicitated with Pride of Hillwood in the presence of J&K LG and CM,” a handout stated.
