JAMMU, Aug 16: The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared combined result of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2016, NEET-I and NEET-II, for admission in Medical and Dental Colleges.
Out of 7, 31,223 candidates, who appeared in the test, 4, 09,477 have qualified and 2, 26,049 of them are female and four transgender. Top ten candidates are Het Shah, Ekansh Goyal, Nikhil Bajiya, Ashank Khaitan, Arushi, Dyuti Shah, Japnoor Kaur, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Amit Kumar and Utkarsh Anand.
The candidates can assess their result on www, aipmt.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresult.nic.in.
Starting this year, CBSE will also provide NEET rank letters to the candidates qualifying for 15 percent All India seats through DigiLocker at http://digilocket.gov.in/. NEET-2016 result will also be available on Digilocker website at http://result.digilocker.gov.in, a CBSE initiative in collaboration with DigiLocker. This is mobile friendly website and can be viewed on mobile.
The result of NEET-2016 has been declared on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India and also based on the information submitted by the candidates in their online application forms.
The qualified candidates have to further complete the formalities with the respective Counselling Authorities viz DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities, etc for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
The details and schedule of counseling would be available on the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Directorate of States, AFMC, Institutions and universities concerned. The counseling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities through personal appearance /online counseling, subject to prevailing rules and norms for admission in Medical College/Dental Colleges. The candidates have been advised to be in touch with the respective Counselling Authorities and Institutions concerned for further details.
