Investigators found that the accused had dishonestly induced the victims and collected money through fraudulent means. One of the accused reportedly posed as a Kashmiri migrant to win the victims’ trust and execute the scam.
Based on the evidence, the Crime Branch established offences of cheating by personation, cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property, and criminal conspiracy against the accused.
The chargesheet has been submitted to the court for further legal proceedings.
The Crime Branch Kashmir urged the public to stay alert against fraudulent job rackets and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities without delay.
