JAMMU, Jan 27: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) and Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm at the Media Centre in Jammu. Gulam Abbas, Director CBC J&K and Ladakh, along with Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director CBC and O.P. Mauriya, Administrative Officer hoisted the National flag.
The event featured a range of patriotic songs performed by talented artists of CBC RO Jammu, which filled the air with pride and patriotism.
During the event, Abbas said that our constitution has woven people of different sections of the society in one thread ensuring every section enjoy their Fundamental Rights. Puri mentioned that our constitution that was adopted by our nation on 26th January 1950 has built strong institutions that has ensured our democracy to strengthen over these years of adoption. Maurya said that we have to imbibe the spirit of democracy and build a Viksit Bharat by 2047. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajesh Sharma, FPA Kathua and Ram Lal Sharma Sr Artist.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting plays a vital role in disseminating information about Government policies and schemes, and the CBC is an essential part of this effort. The celebration of Republic Day is an important occasion for the CBC Jammu and Kashmir to mark this special day and disseminate the patriotic feeling among the hearts of common public.
