RAJOURI, Jan 28: An awareness programme on Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 (BNS-23), VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mission LiFE and other centrally sponsored schemes was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Rajouri, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Rajouri.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, Ghulam Abbas, Director, Central Bureau of Communication, J&K and Ladakh, and Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director, CBC J&K and Ladakh, graced the occasion. Others present included Mohd Muslim Wani, Principal GBHSS Rajouri; Shoib Aslam, BDO Manjakote; Mohd Mubarak, Block Officer, Wildlife Division Rajouri and Poonch; Farah Jabeen from Police Department Rajouri and Fazal Hussain, Vice Principal.
Addressing the gathering, the DC highlighted Mission LiFE, Swachh Bharat Mission, VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, PM Awas Yojana and other allied initiatives. He also honoured Ghulam Abbas and Ayushi Puri.
Ghulam Abbas said Centrally Sponsored Schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, PM Jan Arogya Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Khelo India, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Har Ghar Jal, SBM, Start Up India, Kaushal Vikas and Mudra Loans have significantly improved lives.
Ayushi Puri urged participants to spread awareness and adopt cleanliness, greenery and responsible citizenship.
The Principal highlighted the importance of the three new criminal laws-Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023. Shoib Aslam explained the objectives of VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 and Swachh Bharat Mission, while Farah Jabeen cautioned youth against misuse of social media, UPI and AI platforms.
Fazal Hussain delivered the welcome address while proceedings were conducted by Vijay Mattoo of CBC Rajouri.
