JAMMU, Aug 29: Crime Branch Jammu today presented challan against Parb Dayal and Raman Sharma, who duped people on the name of home business, in the court of City Judge Jammu.
According to the Crime Branch, a written complaint purportedly lodged by Joginder Singh, son of Raghunath Singh of Tinday Kalan R S Pura, duly endorsed by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu, was received in Crime Branch wherein the complainant had alleged that he came across an advertisement regarding sale of disposal machines used for making disposable plates, doonas etc and accordingly approached the company officials and paid Rs 2.30 lakh on 09-10-2013 to one Raman Sharma, son of Devi Dayal Sharma of Shakti Nagar, who promised to install the machine within 15 days.
However, at later stage he refused to provide the machine and took away the money through deceitful means.
During the course of investigation, the communication was made to the Registrar of Companies/Firms J&K to know whether the company was registered with Registrar of Companies/Firms or otherwise. The Registrar of Companies J&K vide his office letter No.DI&C/JRFS/Inf/ 12/251 dated 4.8.2016 submitted that no such company /firm stands registered.
After completion of the investigation, Crime Branch established offences under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120-B RPC against the accused persons namely Prab Dayal Singh, son of Ishar Singh of Dhanwal camp Akhnoor and Raman Sharma, son of Devi Dayal Sharma of Palanwala Khour.
