CAT Srinagar bench concludes three-day circuit sitting in Kargil

KARGIL, Aug 7: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Srinagar Bench today concluded its three-day circuit sitting at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Baroo Kargil.
As per a statement, the sitting was held to provide local residents easier access to justice by resolving service-related matters at their doorstep.
The Division Bench, comprising Judicial Member D S Mahra and Administrative Member Prasant Kumar, conducted the proceedings in hybrid mode-allowing hearings both in-person and virtually for better convenience.
A total of 68 cases were listed before the Bench, out of which 17 were disposed off during the sitting.
These included 6 Original Applications (OA), 1 Contempt Petition (CP), 3 Transfer Applications (TA), and 7 Miscellaneous Applications (MA).
The initiative was welcomed by local litigants and officials for making justice delivery more accessible in remote areas like Kargil.
