SAMBA, Dec 17: The Ghagwal police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and also started investigating in reported irregularities that have come to fore in conducting of online examination by Service Selection Commission (SSC) through a private firm for recruitment in Delhi police.
As per reports, the SSC had hired a private firm to conducting the online examinations for recruitment in Delhi Police and one centre for the same was established in a private school building at Sandhi village in Ghagwal of Samba district on Tuesday.
Sources said Ghagwal police, acting promptly, exposed this high-tech scam, which was openly compromising the future of students taking the exam. On Tuesday, police received information about suspicious activities during the exam held in a private school building in Sandhi village, under the Ghagwal Police Station. Upon receiving the information, the police team arrived at the spot to find a shocking scene. Police investigation revealed that a separate room had been set up outside the examination center from where the entire examination center was being controlled via underground cables. This room housed three laptops, a CPU, and a complete internet system, through which people sitting outside were providing answers to the candidates taking the exam.
Upon seeing the police on the scene, all those involved managed to escape. However, the police seized three laptops, four CPUs, and several mobile phones from the scene, which have been taken into custody for investigation.
