Cardiac diseases detection camp held at Gorkha Nagar

JAMMU, Oct 5: A Medical Camp regarding diagnosis and management of Cardio Vascular Diseases was organized at Gorkha Nagar Boys Middle School Jammu, here today.
About 200 patients attended the camp, which was organized under the supervision of Dr Sushil K Sharma, Head Department of Cardiology, Government Medical College Jammu. He was assisted by a team of doctors, who included Dr Mohi Kalsotra, Dr Salma, Dr D Kapoor Dr Shehbaz, Dr Saqib and Paramedics including Nadeem Bhat, Kishori Lal and staff sister Dil Feroz.
Dr Sushil Sharma stressed upon the patients of keeping a healthy diet schedule and staying away from addictions like smoking and excessive alcohol intake which are strong risk factors for developing coronary artery diseases.
“Further getting diagnosis and treatment for common ailments like hypertension and diabetes is very important because they are strong precursors for Heart diseases. Regular walk and exercises should be included in your life style,” he added
S Santokh Singh, Sham Lal and other members of the civil society appreciated the noble gesture of Dr Sushil Sharma and hoped that more such camps would be conducted in the near future.
