JAMMU, Aug 11: An Alto car was stolen from Rajiv Colony, Bikram Chowk area on the intervening night of August 8 and 9.
A police official said one Dheeraj Sharma of Amara Majalta, Udhampur, had parked his white Maruti Alto (JK02P-4114) at Rajiv Colony area around 11:50 PM on August 8. The next morning, he said, around 10 AM, he found the vehicle missing from the spot.
The police official said Sharma reported the theft at Police Post Nehru Market, stating that he had made several attempts to trace the vehicle by asking the local residents but without success. On his complaint, a case under section 303(2) of the BNS has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation taken up, the police official added.
