UDHAMPUR, Sept 16: In a case under NDPS Act, Police have attached property worth Rs 15 lakh of notorious drug peddler Zaheer Ahmed.
A car, bearing registration number JK09D- 6368, has been attached during investigation of backward linkages in FIR number 163/2024 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act of PS Chenani. Earlier, property worth Rs 10 lakhs linked to the same case had also been attached.
The accused namely Zaheer Ahmed, son of Mohd Ashraf Mughal, resident of Khawapora, District Kupwara, a notorious drug peddler with a history of smuggling contraband and selling it among the youth of the district, was found to have acquired the said property through illicit drug trade.
Acting under Sections 68-E & 68-F of the NDPS Act, police attached the car, which cannot be sold, transferred, or dealt with without approval of the competent authority.
