DODA, Feb 6: A minor girl died and five others including two sisters were injured when a car of Maruti make fell into a deep gorge in mountainous Ponda area here today.
Among injured, four were critical while one sustained minor injuries.

The ill fated car was bearing registration number JK02AD-8791 and it was on its way from Ponda to Doda town.
Immediately after the accident locals of the area along with cops started a rescue operation and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where one of the injured Kavita, 15, daughter of Om Raj, resident of Baravan, Doda was declared as brought dead.
Injured in the accident were identified as Sunny, 13, son of Melib Singh; Sachin, 15, son of Naresh Kumar; Sanjana Devi, 25, daughter of Basant Raj; Sejal, 23, daughter of Basant Raj—all residents of Baravan, Tehsil Barth Bagla, District Doda and Punjab Singh, 42, son of Om Raj.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
