DODA, June 15: Twelve persons were injured here today when the car they were travelling-in skidded off the road and landed in a gorge at Grid Station Gandoh.

The ill-fated vehicle of Tata Sumo make bearing registration number JK06-7507 was on its way to Gowari from Gandoh but it met with accident near Grid Station Gandoh.
Immediately after the accident, cops led by SHO Gandoh, Inspector Shahnawaz Giri rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals and shifted the injured to SDH Gandoh from where they were referred to GMC Doda.
The injured were identified as Mohd Irfan, 22, son of Nek Mohd, resident of Dherwari; Akhil Kumar, 22, son of Youg Raj, resident of Gowari; Sonika Devi, 25, wife of Sheetal Kumar, resident of Bharghi; Suresha Devi, 28, wife of Sanjeet Kumar, resident of Kohal Jugasa; Savita Devi, 25, wife of Pushpinder Singh, resident of Dherwari; Vijay Kumar, 30, son of Charanjeet Singh, resident of Kohal Jugasa; Mohd Iqbal, 30, son of Ali Baksh, resident of Dhadkai; Rehan Shafkat, 18, son of Shafkat Hussain, resident of Bharghi; Shakeel Ahmed, 22, son of Nazar Ahmed, resident of Sanwara and Mohd Imran, 36, son of Mohd Ramzan, resident of Smail.
Two injured were not identified till last reports.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
