SRINAGAR, June 26: Forty nine bags of sugar of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department were recovered from a shop in Uri area of Baramulla district today.
On a tip off police arrested a shopkeeper Ali Mohammad Chalko resident of Chalko and on questioning he revealed that he had hoarded 49 bags of CAPD sugar in a shop.
The shop was raided and the sugar was recovered. A case has been registered against the shopkeeper.
