JAMMU, Feb 3: Demanding a CBI probe into the `mysterious’ death of IAS aspirant Akshay Verma, whose body was found near Railway track at Channi Rama on September 24 last year, the family members, relatives and friends of the deceased organised a candle light march at Rani Park, this evening.
Carrying placards and holding candles, they sought to justify their demand for CBI probe into death mystery of young Akshay Verma. They alleged that despite circumstantial evidences of murder of Akshay, police was not registering the case under Section 302 for investigation and only a CBI probe could establish the exact cause of death.
It may be recalled that 25 year old Akshay Verma had left home along with a friend on September 23 and next morning his body was found near the railway track. Police have registered a case under inquest proceedings in this regard.
