Canara Bank Retirees Asso holds get together

JAMMU, Oct 16: The Canara Bank Retirees Welfare Association J&K organised a cultural get together here, today which was presided over by Sandeep Gupta president of the Association.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of S K Raina and K L Khajuria as chief patron. The event was also graced by regional secretary COBA, Puneet Grover and Yougesh Kumar general secretary, CBEU. The event brought together retired members of the Canara Bank family. The event started with Ganesh Vandana sung by Anjaali Kaul, Sushma Jain and Nimmi Braroo and Neelam Sahi.
The proceedings were conducted by Virender Kaw and Anjali Kaul. Anil Pandoh general secretary spoke on the welfare activities undertaken by the Association and shared updates on the latest developments in banking sector.
He made an appeal to Union Finance Minister to waive of GST on group health insurance for retirees emphasising that the senior citizens deserve greater care and support from the society at this stage of life.
Sat K Raina on the occasion was honoured for attaining platinum milestone of 75 years. He spoke about his lifelong contributions to community and welfare activities.
The meeting concluded with a resolution to undertake more welfare oriented programmes in coming months. The vote of thanks was proposed by Raj Kumar Bamba and Sushma Jain.
