CAIT to launch national campaign for protection of women, daughters

JAMMU, July 16: Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will soon launch a national campaign for the protection and development of women and daughters across the country. Neeraj Anand, CAIT President for J&K, shall lead this noble cause in the Union Territory.
Announcement in this regard was made during a meeting of trade leaders of different states of the country under the banner of CAIT with the Union Minister of Women Welfare and Child Development, Smriti Irani.
The Minister said that the traders are known for driving economic cycle of the country so far, but they can play a very important role in bringing about a big social change and now the time has come when the campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Beti Bachao – Beti Padao” should be taken as a mission by the various trade organization’s across the country. She stressed that every trader of the country should take the responsibility of women’s safety in all the markets of their area. She also said that there are shops of traders even in the most difficult or tiny part of the country and if the trader becomes the guardians of women and daughters of the same locality, then no one in the country can harm any woman or daughter.
CAIT’s National President B C Bhartia and National Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal informed that while accepting the request of Smriti Irani, CAIT will soon launch a massive national campaign of women’s safety across the country and will initiate a new social revolution in the country.
They said that eight crore traders of the country fully understand their responsibilities towards the women and daughters of the country and will fulfill their role in the safety and progress of every girl child and females. For this, CAIT is fully prepared and with the cooperation of every big and small trader of the country, we will take this campaign forward rapidly, said a handout, issued here today.
