DODA, Jan 21: Police, in coordination with district administration, raided a suspected drug peddler’s house in Doda town early Monday morning and recovered huge quantity of intoxicant.
The recovered items are currently being analyzed, with officials suspecting them to be heroin, cannabis and other illicit substances.
Police have detained several individuals from the location for questioning in this regard to ascertain their involvement in the narco trade.
Officials stated that the arrested individuals are part of a broader network operating in the district and beyond.
A senior police official claimed: “This operation is part of our ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in the region. Such raids will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents of Doda.”
The district administration also emphasized the importance of community cooperation in identifying and reporting suspicious activities to curb the growing drug problem in the region.
